World Cup 2019 | Second Semi Final | England beat Australia by 8 wickets

England won the Second Semi Final match of World Cup 2019 against Australia by 8 wickets with 107 balls remaining at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, England.

Earlier, Australia skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to bat first setting a target of 224 runs for the hosts to chase.

Steven Smith with 85 runs was the highest scorer for his side. Apart from him Alex Carey scored 46 runs.

Among English batsmen, Jason Roy scored 85 runs the highest. Apart from him Joe Root and Eoin Morgan scored 49 and 45 runs respectively.

Among bowlers, Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid scalped 3 wickets, Jofra Archer plucked 2 wickets and Mark Wood claimed one wicket for England.

For Australia, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins claimed one wicket each.

Now England and New Zealand will compete for the cup at Lord's in London on 14th July.
