ICC World Cup 2019: Joe Root came up with an excellent all-round performance to help England beat West Indies by 8 wickets at Southampton. Root scored his second century of the World Cup 2019 and picked up two crucial wickets. Chris Woakes also played an important knock of 40 runs after being promoted. Root and Bairstow set the platform for England with a 95-run opening stand in chase of 213. Earlier, after being put to bat, West Indies was bowled out for 212, thanks to three-wicket haul by Mark Wood and Jofra Archer.
