Learn how to make Sev Ki Sabzi / Gujarati Gathiya Nu Shaak at home with Chef Toral on Swaad Anusaar.

Gathiya nu Shaak or Sev Bhaji or Sev Ki sabzi whatever you like to call it, it is a very mouth watering dish. It's a quick and easy preparation and had a perfect chatpata taste and amazing texture its liked by everyone from kids to older people in the house.

Gathiya Nu Shak or Sev Ki Sabji is deep-fried Indian snacks made from chickpea flour.

Gathiya nu Shaak or Sev Ki sabzi is ready in a jiffy and is ideal for those days when you need to cook in a hurry, or when you open the fridge. Sev Bhaji is our mom's generations Maggi recipe as there was no Maggie at there time a quick and easy dish to make all one needs is besan/gram flour water and some regular spices.

Ingredients:
For Ghatiya Dough
1 cup Gram Flour
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Asafoetida
Turmeric Powder
Salt
3-4 tbsp Oil
Water

For Gravy
1 cup Buttermilk
Asafoetida
Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Salt
1 tbsp Gram Flour
1/2 cup Water

For Tadka
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
Curry Leaves
1 Dried Red Chilli
2-3 Cloves
Red Chilli Powder

Method: Let's start with making the dough for which add Gram Flour in the bowl with Red Chilli Powder, Asafoetida, Turmeric Powder, Salt (as per the taste), Oil, Water. Next, Mix it all together properly and keeping the dough soft. Now, we will prepare the Gravy for which add Buttermilk in the bowl with Asafoetida, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Salt (as per the taste), Gram Flour, Water and mix it properly. Next, let's prepare the Tadka for which add Oil in the Kadai with Cumin Seeds, Curry Leaves, Dried Red Chilli, Cloves, Red Chilli Powder then add the Gravy in the Mix. Next, once the Rassa is cooked then we will cook the Ghatiya (as shown in the video). Next, let it cook for 2-3 minutes with the lid closed. After 3 minutes your Ghatiya Nu Shaak or Sev Ki sabzi is ready to serve.
