Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming has acknowledged the need for rebuilding an "ageing squad" after a poor show with the bat which has been their achilles heel through out the season.CSK squad with an average of 34 for the core team, has proved that age is just a number by winning the IPL last year and finishing runners-up to Mumbai Indians here on Sunday night.


चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के मुख्य कोच स्टीफन फ्लेमिंग ने आईपीएल के इस सत्र में बल्लेबाजी में खराब प्रदर्शन के बाद ‘उम्रदराज हो चली टीम ’ में बदलाव की जरूरत स्वीकार की। चेन्नई की कोर टीम की औसत उम्र 34 साल है जिसने पिछले साल खिताब जीता था और इस बार फाइनल में मुंबई इंडियंस से हार गई। फ्लेमिंग और कप्तान महेंद्र सिंह धोनी ने बल्लेबाजी में बेहतर प्रदर्शन की जरूरत पर जोर दिया। कोच ने कहा, ‘‘यदि आप एक साल खिताब जीते और अगले साल फाइनल में पहुंचे हैं तो प्रदर्शन अच्छा कहा जायेगा। हम समझते हैं कि यह उम्रदराज टीम है। हमें नये सिरे से टीम तैयार करने पर सोचना होगा।
