ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಮುಗಿದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಡುವಿನ ವಿವಾದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಚಲುವರಾಯಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ನರೇಂದ್ರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಕಳೆದ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‍ನಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿ ಸೋಲನುಭವಿಸಿದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಪಕ್ಷೇತರ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಸುಮಲತಾ ಜೊತೆ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಹೋಟೆಲ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
