London Extinction Rebellion mural is a Banksy, says expert
  • 5 years ago
A Banksy collector has said that a mural appearing at climate change group Extinction Rebellion’s London base overnight is an authentic work by the street artist.

Banksy expert John Brandler told the Guardian: “I’m convinced about the one in London for two reasons: it’s a topic that he would support, and it’s a continuation of the Port Talbot piece that appeared in December 2018."

The mural shows a young girl holding a sign with the Extinction Rebellion symbol alongside the words, “From this moment despair ends and tactics begin.”

Extinction Rebellion have been protesting for the last two weeks in central London. Hundreds have been arrested.
