Shashi Tharoor slams BJP for playing faith politics in Kerala;Political parties cares people issues?

Kerala's Pathanamthitta - which has been at the centre of the storm after the supreme court order that lifted the ban on women of menstrual age entering the Sabarimala shrine, - went to vote today, along with the 19 other constituencies of the southernmost state of the country. There was an enthusiastic voter turnout of 72% in Pathanamthitta today as voters lined up to exercise their franchise. The region was shadowed by protests following the controversial sc verdict - dividing the population between faith and gender issue over Sabarimala. The political fight is between LDF Veena George, UDF's Anto Antony and BJP's K Surendran. even as udf's antony is eyeing at a hattrick from the seat, chances of BJP's Surendran are looking bright -- surendran was at the helm of protests in the state batting for devotees' faith and resisting the sc order on Sabarimala. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor who came out to vote in his constituency Trivandrum - attacked the BJP for playing politics in the name of protecting people's faith in Kerala.
