Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu are the two most notable exclusions from India’s 15-man squad for the World Cup in England and Wales starting on May 30. Dinesh Karthik, who was left out for India’s most recent series against Australia has been recalled. K L Rahul and Vijay Shankar have also earned call-ups, as has Ravindra Jadeja. The experienced Karthik surpass the youthful Pant, who has only played 5 ODIs so far, due to his ability to handle pressure and finish off games.

आईसीसी विश्व कप 2019 के लिए भारतीय टीम की घोषणा कर दी गयी है। भारत से पहले न्यूजीलैंड और ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने भी विश्व कप के लिए अपने टीम की घोषणा की थी। भारत के बाद बांग्लादेश ने भी इस टूर्नामेंट के लिए अपने 15 नामों की घोषणा कर दी है। भारतीय चयनकर्ताओं ने टीम चयन में कई चौंकाने वाले फैसले लिए हैं।भारतीय टीम के कप्तान विराट कोहली ने अक्टूबर- नवम्बर में कहा था कि अंबाती रायडू विश्व कप में टीम के लिए नंबर 4 पर बल्लेबाजी करेंगे। इसके बावजूद रायडू को इस टीम में जगह नहीं मिली है।उनके अलावा युवा विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज ऋषभ पन्त को भी टीम में शामिल नहीं किया गया है। मुख्य चयनकर्ता ने पन्त की कमजोर विकेटकीपिंग का हवाला देते हुए दिनेश कार्तिक को टीम में शामिल किया।
