Pet mangrove snake slithers up camera tripod thinking it's a tree

This stunning black and yellow striped mangrove snake entertained himself by coiling around a camera tripod at his owner's home in Bangkok.

The owner of the two-metre long snake, Nakharin Noonoon, said his companion often used the tripod as a place to rest after he gave him food, as seen in this video from February 12.

Noonoon commented: ''This kind of snake would love to climb up and rest on the tree in the wild. But I like to have him with me in my house, so he uses my tripod instead.''
