A team of the CBI and Ed will be in London today for the scheduled date of hearing on Nirav Modi’s bail plea. The team will help remove legal obstacles to the extradition of the diamond merchant. The bail hearing is scheduled in the Westminster court. Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi are wanted for their alleged roles in the Punjab National Bank’s rs 13,570-crore fraud. While the ED is probing the money laundering aspect of the case, the CBI is concentrating on the criminal conspiracy and misuse of office. Nirav Modi was arrested in London on the 20th of March after he was spotted in the city. He’s believed to be living in a posh apartment in central London and is reportedly running a diamond business in soho.
