National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)

National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) acts as the Iranian people's Parliament-in-Exile and legislative assembly. It has over 25 committees and 530 members, 52% of whom are women. During the last 27 years, NCRI has played an effective role as the most stable national coalition and the only democratic alternative to the Iranian regime.

Founded in 1981, NCRI is considered to be a democratic alternative to the current Iranian government. It is a large coalition of dissidents and organizations, such as the Association of Iranian Scholars and Professionals and the Association of Iranian Women, that support democratic regime change in Iran.
