Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush recently said that a Republican should come forward and challenge President Trump in 2020, reports Mediaite. In an interview with David Axelrod scheduled to air on CNN Saturday, Bush commented: "I think someone should run just because Republicans ought to be given a choice. It's hard to beat a sitting President, but to have a conversation about what it is to be a conservative, I think it's important."  Bush was among the many who ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican primary.  Though Bush entered that race as a front-runner, he withdrew in February of that year amid declining poll numbers.  Notably, recent polls suggest that Republicans don't share Bush's enthusiasm for a primary challenge. According to a CNN survey, Iowa voters were about evenly split on the prospect.  Meanwhile, the Washington Post reports that in a separate poll, "Monmouth University…found that 40 percent" of the Republican and Republican-leaning survey participants "said they wanted Trump to face a primary challenge, while 53 percent said they'd prefer that Trump run unopposed."
