Honda Issues Another Huge Recall
Over Faulty Takata Airbags This latest round of recalls involve
over one million cars in North
and Central America. Various 2001-06 models of Honda cars will be recalled, including the Honda Accord, CR-V,
Civic and Element. Some Acura models are also being recalled, including the MDX and CL. According to CBS, airbag inflators are still not 100% safe even after
recent installations. Issues concerning Takata's airbags will eventually lead to over 70 million cars
being repaired. It has now been discovered that very hot temperatures can weaken the compound. This is turn causes an airbag explosion that can hurl deadly shrapnel. The malfunctions have
left 23 people dead. Honda says its dealerships are
available for the replacing of
defective inflators.
