Uttar Pradesh, the state that sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha, will see polling in seven phases and the voting will take place on April 11, 18, 23, 29. The LS polls in Karnataka will be held in two phases, with 14 constituencies going to the polls in each phase - April 18 and April 23.The AIADMK, which won 136 out of 234 seats in the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, faces a test to its continuance in power as the Election Commission of India has announced by-elections to the 18 vacant constituencies in the state. West Bengal will see staggered Lok Sabha elections spread over all seven phases starting from April 11 to May 19, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora announced.
