MLA from Assam accused of Raping a minor household maid

A complaint has been registered against Gopinath Das, MLA from Boko constituency of Kamrup district in Assam for allegedly raping his minor domestic help.According to the victim's family, Das, an All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MLA, allegedly raped the minor girl in a moving car on Saturday. The victim has been admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati and a complaint has now been registered with the police.
