TMC leader's son accused of raping minor nabbed

A 11-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Balurghat by a neighbor named Azizur Rehman, the son of a local TMC leader. The incident came to light after the victim’s mother took her to the Balahar Primary health centre after she began bleeding profusely. She had to be referred to the Balurghat district hospital and finally to the Malda Medical College and Hospital as her condition deteriorated further.
