The Home Ministry has yet not got the official copy of the Maharashtra Governor's rejection of the mercy plea. So far the Ministry has only seen this is in the media reports. Till the time the ministry receives the signed copy of the Governor's rejection. The case can not be sent to the prez house. As of now the certified copy of the SC's verdict is available with the ministry. Once both of these are put together & the HM provides his advice. The case wud then be sent to the President house. All this wud happen in next 3-4 hours. Government to advise against clemency for Yakub Memon.
