The AICC said MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan offering to order a CBI probe was a "desperate move after reading the writing on the wall on the eve of the Supreme Court taking up a PIL". The party insisted on an SC monitored CBI probe into the scam and said the CM must quit.
