In an unfortunate incident of police apathy, a minor boy was reportedly detained in Andhra Pradesh for the last five days. In shocking visuals, the boy, a rag picker and the sole bread earner of the family is seen wiping his tears while his leg is chained to a window. According to sources, the 13-year-old boy has been accused of stealing gold jewellery. He was detained at Vetapalem police station in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. After the footage became public, an inquiry has been ordered and the local SI was suspended.
