Bangalore: Bihar woman gang raped at farmhouse

She ran down a dark road, covering at least 1km, and stopped only when she saw a car. Semi-nude and breathless, she flagged it down and reached a police station in Tavarekere, 27km west of Bangalore.
It was 5am Thursday, and she had been raped through the night by three men who had offered to drop her home when she was waiting in Majestic on Wednesday night. Instead, they had taken her to a farmhouse near Bidadi and assaulted her.
She had managed to sneak out as dawn broke. The 23-year-old woman recounted her horror to police, who swooped down on the farmhouse and arrested the trio.
The rape survivor and the trio were subjected to medical tests. Preliminary investigations confirmed rape, police said, adding that the car, a Maruti SX4, used to pick her up was seized.
