MoS Home Minister Kiren Rijiju reaches Assam

Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju arrived in Guwahati on Thursday to meet Tarun Gogoi and T.R. Zeliang, the Chief Ministers of Assam and Nagaland, respectively.
Rijiju said, "We are monitoring the situation in Delhi also. But I am going to meet both chief ministers today".
Rijiju rejected Gogoi's statement of blaming the Centre for inadequate action in resolving the border problem between Assam and Nagaland.
"It's not that. Central Forces do not work independently. They work on the basis of the guidance, surveillance and the administrative control of the state government. It is at their disposal. There should be no blame game. We should co-ordinate amongst ourselves, both the state and the centre. Let me talk to both chief ministers. We should try to settle the issue as soon as possible," he said.
