Responding to the violent protests against Citizenship Amendment Act in Northeast, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that some elements have tried to take advantage of the situation in the region. He said, “Some elements may try to create violence but Northeastern people are peace-loving, protests are also taking place but there are ways and means of protesting. Some have tried to take advantage of the situation.”
