Violence in Assam, locals clash with police

There has been a clash between people and police at Merapani's district near Nagaland border over the visit of Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday. Locals opposed the Chief Minister's visit due to the ongoing Assam-Nagaland border conflict.
The police even fired in the air to disburse the crowd after clashes.
