Allahabad HC serves notice to Congress President Sonia Gandhi

Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today issued a notice to Congress president Sonia Gandhi in connection with an election petition filed against her after being elected to the Lok Sabha for the fourth time from Rae Bareli.
Justice Tarun Agarwal issued the notice on an election petition and fixed September 9 as the next date of hearing.
The Rae Bareli petitioner Rajesh Singh has filed the election petition challenging Ms Gandhi's election from Rae Bareli on several grounds.
