Whistleblower IAS officer Ashok Khemka to be transferred on Central deputation

In a relief to embattled whistleblower IAS officer Ashok Khemka, the Civil Services Board approved his request for a central deputation., Khemka was approved for the deputation after the PMO intervened.

The Cabinet Secretary had recommended to the PMO that Khemka be transferred on central deputation. Khemka is now awaiting posting orders from the central government,

The 1991-batch IAS officer had antagonized the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government by cancelling the mutation of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra's land deal with realty giant DLF in 2012. In 2013 the state government had chargesheeted him for "wrongly" cancelling the mutation of the deal, apart from ordering various inquiries against him in different cases.

In 2012 Sanjiv Chaturvedi, another whistleblower officer from the Haryana cadre, had gone on central deputation.
