MHA demands action taken report on Tapas Pal from W.B government

With no response from West Bengal government on Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal's rape remark, the Centre has now stepped in. THe Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a report from the Mamata Banerjee government on Pal's remark. The MHA has asked for the facts and if any action has been taken.
This comes as there has been no response from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata banerjee yet on whether she will sack Pal for saying he will send boys to rape CPM women. Left's Sitaram Yechury has said that the party will move a privilege motion in Parliament against Tapas Pal.
