Bengal Halts UK Flights To State, At-Risk Countries From Jan 3, International Passengers Arriving At Delhi To Quarantine

On December 30, the West Bengal government said it is suspending all direct flights from the UK. The state government added that all flights from other high-risk countries will also be suspended from January 3. The decision was taken amid rising cases of the Omicron variant. So far, West Bengal has reported 11 cases of the Omicron variant. Meanwhile, the Delhi government on December 30 announced that international passengers testing positive for Covid-19 upon arrival at the Delhi airport will have to isolate at designated paid and free facilities.
