Aides of UPA ministers not to be hired

The new BJP-led government does not want loyalists of UPA ministers to serve with members of Narendra Modi's Council of Ministers. All private secretaries or officers on special duty of UPA ministers, who managed to get appointed as staff of the new ministers, have not found favour with the top leadership.

The appointments of at least eight private secretaries have been put on hold and they will, in all likelihood, be removed.

"Across the board, all private secretaries who served with the old dispensation will not continue. As of now, the appointments have been put on hold but in principle it has been decided that they will be removed," said a senior government source.
