NDA govt begins 'review' of UPA gubernatorial appointees

With the NDA government urging the governors of UP, Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, and MP to quit, two governors resigned on Tuesday.
BL Joshi of Uttar Pradesh and HR Bhardwaj of Karnataka have resigned, according to reports. Governor of Assam JB Patnaik dismissed reports saying he had also resigned.
All governors from the Congress could resign or get transferred if they refuse to resign.
Kerala Governor Sheila Dikshit has meanwhile, declined to comment on the reports.
"I can't react to rumours", Dikshit said on the sidelines of a function here when mediapersons drew her attention to reports in this regard.
