President to address both Parliament Houses at 11 AM

President Pranab Mukherjee will address a joint sitting of Parliament on Monday, laying the roadmap of the new government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The President's speech is likely to highlight the government's economic agenda.

In his address beginning at 11 AM in the Central Hall of Parliament, the President is likely to list the priorities of the NDA government which include focusing on rural development, attracting foreign investments and taking India back to the path of economic growth.

Setting the tone ahead of the joint session of Parliament, PM Modi emphasised on the key issues that the government needs to focus on. "The need of the hour is to think big. The more we focus on skill, scale and speed, more will be the increase in India's growth trajectory," he said.
