Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial nominee, has courted another controversy while addressing a rally in Faizabad, a town less than five kilometres from Ayodhya. Modi addressed the rally with the backdrop of the image of lord Ram.

Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal said the BJP is going back to the basics and will always do what suits the situation it is in at the moment.
