TDP, BJP reach a broad understanding over seat-sharing

Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party were tonight understood to have reached a broad agreement over an electoral alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
However, an official announcement in this regard is yet to be made as BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar is still closeted in talks with TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu over the exact number of seats they would be sharing.
As per the understanding, TDP has agreed to allot 45 (out of 119) assembly and eight (out of 17) Lok Sabha seats to BJP in Telangana and 15 (175) and five (25) seats in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
