Senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh has filed his nomination papers from Barmer as an independent candidate on Monday.

Jaswant Singh said that he will contest the elections on the basis of his principles.

Earlier, he has also made it clear that the party will have to suffer the consequences of internal strife coming to the fore ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
