Jaswant Singh to file nomination from Barmer today

The Bharatiya Janata Party is dealing with a war within and the split in the party's top leadership is out in the open. Senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh will file his nomination from Barmer as an Independent on Monday after his party refused to oblige him with a ticket from his home constituency. Not just Jaswant Singh, but another senior 7-time MP from Ahmedabad, Harin Pathak too is upset over being denied a ticket.
While BJP patriarch LK Advani may have just managed to extract nomination of his choice from the party, his proteges and loyalists were snubbed outrightly. This is what has brought the fault-lines in the BJP out in the open. A day after senior BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj expressed grief questioning what was an unusual decision of denying ticket to Jaswant Singh, her counterpart in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley retorted.
