CommonwealtGames scam: PAC Chairman Girish Bapat accuses Suresh Kalmadi

In a fresh trouble for Commonwealth Games scam accused Suresh Kalmadi, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has given nod to file criminal case against him for alleged misappropriation of funds. The Maharashtra Assembly's Public Accounts Committee report has asked for a SIT probe against Kalmadi.
PAC Chairman Girish Bapat told the legislative Assembly that Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had given the Organising Committee three months' time to submit the final statement of expenditure, failing which criminal offence will be filed against Kalmadi.
