Loksabha Elections 2014: Jayalalithaa refused to join BJP alliance. Joins CPI(M).

A day after she struck an alliance with the Communist Party of India (CPI), Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa, the head of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) announced another with the Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M).
The announcement, made in a press briefing by CPI(M)'s Prakash Karat and Jayalalithaa, adds to the momentum surrounding the formation of a possible and so-called Third Front, a non-Congress and non-Bharatiya Janata Party led grouping for the coming general elections.
On paper at least, such a front would include the Janata Dal (United), the Biju Janata Dal, the Janata Dal (Secular), and the Samajwadi Party. Thus far, there are two smaller potential Third Fronts in the making, one featuring the AIADMK and the two communist parties and the other featuring Mulayal Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party, Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), and Deve Gowda's Janata Dal (Secular), all socialist parties that can trace their genesis back to the Janata Party. But there have been enough hints to suggest that a united Third Front will be formed soon, perhaps after a meeting next week of 11 political parties.
