Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, whose recent move of changing minister D. Sridhar Babu's portfolio has snowballed into a major controversy, has justified his action by saying that when the Telangana Bill would come up for discussion in the Assembly, Sridhar Babu, hailing from Telangana, would be inconvenienced as a legislative affairs minister. To avoid this he changed Sridhar Babu's portfolio. This was told by Kiran Kumar Reddy to government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy when the latter met him at his office in the Assembly on Friday. But Telangana Congress MLAs wondered why it would be particularly inconvenient to Sridhar Babu and not to the new minister of legislative affairs S. Shailajanath, who is from Seemandhra.
