Kiran Kumar Reddy all set to resign today and form a new party

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy may finally put in his papers on Wednesday after Telangana Bill got Lok Sabha's nod on Tuesday.

Speculations were brewing up since day before yesterday that Reddy would resign soon after discussion on AP Reorganisation Bill would begin in the Lok Sabha. However, Reddy continued in his office and later confirmed that he will resign from the CM's post today.

Reddy's resignation could pave way for imposition of President's rule in the state.

Reddy's aides had earlier shifted his personal belongings from his office at the secretariat and also from his official residence. Moreover, he shuffled some key vacancies in the government.

Besides Reddy's resignation in protest of Telangana Bill, Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi has threatened to stall the proceedings in the Upper House.

The Lok Sabha yesterday cleared the separation of Telangana from Andhra region after fifty-eight years of unification.
