Tonight with Deepak Chaurasia: 2 more columns of CRPF deployed in Darjeeling; MHA seeks report

Darjeeling remains on the edge for over a week. And in more trouble for Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tea workers of 300 tea gardens staged a protest against Bengal Government, demanding higher wages. Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee blamed opposition for provoking tea workers. She also asserted that she will not be intimidated by the threats from Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM). State government has beefed up security and two more columns of CRPF have been deployed. There are reports that Morcha supporters were lathicharged after they pelted stones on the police. Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has also supported complete shutdown of Darjeeling called by tea workers.
