Sankararaman case verdict today; Kanchi seer, junior accused - NewsX

Chennai: On September 3, 2004, a man named Sankararaman, a manager of the Varadarajaperumal temple in Kanchipuram, was brutally murdered. It would have passed off as just one of those senseless crimes, had it not been for an investigative report in Tamil magazine Nakkeeran, linking the murder to the de facto head of Shaivite Hindu tradition and pontiff of the Kanchi Kamakoti mutt, Jayendra Saraswati.
