NCP, BJP oppose moves to pardon Sanjay Dutt - NewsX

Senior Nationalist Congress Party leader and Maharashtra rural development minister Jayant Patil on Thursday opposed a pardon to actor Sanjay Dutt, who was sentenced in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case, saying that such a move would spark similar demands from other convicts.
Earlier, The home ministry has sought opinion of Maharashtra government on reducing sentence of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and two other convicts in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts.
