On one hand, when most Bollywood celebs are voicing their opinion that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who has been convicted under the Arms Act, should be pardoned, Sanjay himself broke down today in front of media-persons and declared that he has not asked for any pardon.
A teary-eyed Sanjay said, "I will surrender. The Honorable Supreme Court has given me time to surrender and I will do so at that time. I have not applied for any pardon. There are many people, who deserve a pardon. I, with folded hands, want to tell the media and the honorable citizens of my country that when I am not going for a pardon, then there is no debate about it."
The Supreme Court recently upheld actor Sanjay Dutt's Arms Act conviction and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment for his role in the 1993 bomb blasts case. Dutt, who has already spent around 18 months behind bars, will now serve a sentence of around three and a half years.
