Sources suggest the Congress in its core group meet with PM has decided to withdraw the controversial ordinance on convicted parliamentarians.
After the Prime Minister met the Gandhi scion earlier in the morning, the buzz was rife that Ordinance will be withdrawn. The PM then conveyed the party's decision to the President
Before the crucial cabinet meeting at 6 PM on the ordinance the NCP has confirmed if consensus emerges they have no objection.
But the SP remains the only hurdle in the path of withdrawal as the party has termed the move anti-democratic.
