Mumbai Gangrape Case: 5th accused has been sent to Police Custody till 5th September

The issue of gangrape of a 23-year old photo-journalist in Mumbai reached the parliament today.

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde briefed the lok sabha on the progress in the Mumbai Gangrape Case. After Shinde made his statement, Leader of opposition in the lok sabha Sushma Swaraj asked for death penalty for rapists.

In the latest in the case, Mumbai Police's Crime Branch has nabbed the fifth accused named Salim Ansari from Delhi. With that all the five accused in the photojournalist gangrape case have been arrested. Ansari, fifth accused has been sent to police custody till 5th of September.
