Jat agitation turns violent, protestors set minister’s house on fire

ROHTAK : Protests by Jats demanding reservation in Haryana turned violent on Friday, forcing authorities to impose Section 144 in the Rohtak district, which prohibits the assembly of more than 10 people in an area. Reportedly one person was killed and nine injured after police opened fire on the protestors. Agitators also attacked Haryana minister Captain Abhimanyu Singh's house and set his home and car on fire.
