Bihar Mid-day Meal: Chhapra Court seeks Polygraphy test

News X: More than 1.5 crore school children in Bihar will go hungry for second day in a row after nearly three lakh Government teachers washed their hands off the centrally-funded scheme on Thursday. They say it constitutes non-academic work. Allahabad High court also ruled in their favour saying teachers shouldn't be in the kitchen as their work is to teach and not supervise cooking.

With the Bihar assembly's monsoon session beginning today. the matter is sure to create furor. Meanwhile, a Chhapra court today has ordered for a polygraphy test of the arrested headmistress Meena Devi to be conducted at FSL Patna.
