Rs 30 lakh as compensation and jobs for Shahjahanpur journalist's family but no CBI probe

Lucknow: Protesting members of Shahjahanpur journalist Jagendra Singh's family have called off their protest after the state government assured them a compensation of Rs 30 lakh and jobs for two family members. The development comes after the family members of the deceased journalist met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. However, the CM has turned down the request for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case.
