A day after Priyanka Gandhi visited Rae Bareli, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday landed in her Lok Sabha constituency to inaugurate works done under the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) funds. Sonia is scheduled to distribute cheques to the families of the victims of Bachrawan rail accident during her visit. She will also unveil the plaque of Nagar Panchayat Bhawan, Dalmau, besides interacting with the residents there. The Rae Bareli MP will be inaugurating works done under the MPLAD at the Firoz Gandhi colony park in the afternoon and take rounds to inspect ongoing construction of various projects like urban-rural electrification, city resources centre, Rajiv Avas Yojna and drinking water schemes.
