Dr B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary Tuesday got political parties going all out in the contest to woo the voters as they hailed the Dalit icon while staking a claim to his legacy. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who took part in the Ambedkar Jayanti functions here this morning recalled his contributions to the society and announced a public holiday on his death anniversary on December 6. The love of Congress, BJP and SP for Baba Saheb is politically motivated, Mayawati alleged.
