A young girl was set on fire by a jilted lover in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The police say that the accused lured the girl into his house where he tried to coerce her to marry him. When she refused, he and his friends poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze. The girl recorded her statement before a magistrate.The girl says one person doused the fire with a bucketful of water and also rushed her to hospital. Police have filed an FIR against the three attackers.
